Description
Join us for our volunteer training to become an ambassador for Sustain Charlotte!
This free training session will last approximately two hours at the Plaza Midwood Library's community room. Volunteers will be guided through an initial staff presentation about the mission and history of Sustain Charlotte and learn about efforts being taken today to generate a healthier, more equitable, and vibrant community.
Attendees will also be invited to engage in an educational activity, explore government resources, and ask questions to build the skills and confidence necessary to represent Sustain Charlotte at community events.
We'll provide light breakfast refreshments and drinks.
When the training concludes at 12:00, ambassadors are invited to join Sustain Charlotte staff for a short optional guided walking tour of the vibrant neighborhood area near the library. We'll learn firsthand about many urban design principles and transportation issues discussed during the training.
Who should attend? This ambassador training is geared towards individuals who:
- Have some familiarity with Sustain Charlotte, such as previously attending one of our events, following us on social media, or receiving our newsletter.
- Enjoy meeting new people and sharing enthusiasm for Sustain Charlotte's work.
- Can volunteer with us at least 3 times per year. We have many opportunities on weekends and weekday evenings. Spring and fall are busiest!
