2025 Party in the Park

Join us for a drop-in cookout at Latta Park in the Dilworth neighborhood! We're hosting this FREE cookout to thank the entire Sustain Charlotte community —that's you! 

We will have burgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options, chips, cake, and non-alcoholic drinks. Did we mention the ice pops? Feel free to stop by anytime between 6pm and 8pm!

We won’t have formal programming, but we’re happy to discuss any smart growth or transportation topic you are interested in. We would love to hear what you’re thinking. At 7:15, we'll hear a few minutes of remarks from neighborhood advocates who are preserving the health of Latta Park for future generations, followed by a short optional walking tour.

Location: The event will be at the pavilion in Latta Park in Charlotte's Dilworth neighborhood at 601 E Park Ave. (NOT to be confused with Latta Nature Preserve!). Parking is available near the pavilion. We encourage carpooling, bicycling, or public transit. The park is within 2 blocks of a #19 CATS bus stop. 

This is a family-friendly event. While we won't have childcare available, you're welcome to bring your kids and supervise them. There is a playground, restroom, AND splash pad near the shelter.
