Description

Today 29,000 Mecklenburg residents live within 1/4 mile of frequent public transit. Imagine the benefits if that number increased to 250,000. This is just one of the major improvements that we could experience from an updated CATS public transit plan! Join us for a presentation from CATS planner Andy Mock about why and how the plan is being updated. You'll learn about the Better Bus program to increase coverage and frequency of service, plus the 4 scenarios that CATS is considering for its high-capacity corridors. The plan can't be fully implemented without new funding, so we'll also discuss ways we can effectively advocate for an equitable investment in mobility for all! Whether you ride transit daily or have never been on a bus, this event is for you!
